You can use the electronic web form to file an exemption notice. After completing it, you can either send it via the data box or download the completed form in PDF format, print it out and send it with an officially verified signature by email (scanned form with official signature verification or an electronically signed PDF, which will be created for you in the CzechPOINT network) or by post to the address:
State Fund for Transport Infrastructure
190 00 Prague 9
You can also download a blank form in PDF to your computer, fill in the necessary data, print it out and provide it with an officially verified signature. Then choose one of the sending methods. In addition to sending from the data box, you can submit the exemption notice in writing (with an officially verified signature) or by email (scanned form on which the official verification of the signature is legible). If you do not have access to the Internet, you can write the notice on a clean copy, stating the requirements required by law and send it with an officially verified signature or power of attorney to the address of the SFDI headquarters. More information can be found in the Chapter on Exemption.
You can delay the start of validity of the electronic motorway vignette by up to three months.
Yes, the new electronic motorway vignette will have the option of setting the beginning of validity. You will be able to purchase the one-year electronic motorway vignette at any point during the year and the validity will be 365 days from the day selected as the beginning of validity. For example, if you purchase the electronic motorway vignette on November 22, 2021 and the electronic motorway vignette takes effect that day, it will be valid until 23:59:59 on November 21, 2022.
If you buy an electronic motorway vignette at a sales point, you have 15 minutes to make a correction from the moment you completed the purchase (at the sales point where you made the purchase).
If you are buying the electronic motorway vignette in the e-shop or at a self-service kiosk and you want it to be valid immediately after payment, pay close attention to the information entered. The system will ask you to confirm what you entered. If you confirm, pay, and then discover that some of the information is incorrect, it cannot be changed or refunded.
If you buy the electronic motorway vignette through the e-shop at the edalnice.cz website and delay its validity, you can correct any of the incorrect information before the start of validity, specifically one change to the license plate and one change to the start of the electronic motorway vignette’s validity.
There are several ways to find out when the electronic motorway vignette expires. You can check it online on the website where you simply enter the country the car is registered in and the vehicle’s license plate number. Another option is to leave the reminder up to us. If you enter contact information when buying the electronic motorway vignette and check that you want to receive notification of expiration, we will send it to you.
We are thinking of foreigners coming from abroad. The e-shop will be available in several language versions as will the self-service kiosks. At sales point, sales associates will help foreigners purchase electronic motorway vignettes.
