What to know when buying an electronic vignette
- 1 If you select the option to send a notification before expiry when you make a purchase in the e-shop, you will receive a notification of the expiry date of the electronic vignette to the provided e-mail address. When purchasing at a physical point of sale, you can set up an expiry notification to be sent later in Vignette Management using the authorisation code.
- 2 If you have bought an electronic vignette at a shop and only after you have paid you find out that you have filled in some of the details incorrectly, do not panic! You can change the incorrect data directly at a sales point within 15 minutes.
- 3 We recommend purchasing a short-term electronic vignette for the transfer sign. If another type of vignette is purchased, a subsequent change to a licence plate number may not be possible.
How to proceed in the e-shop
The easiest way to buy an electronic vignette is via the e-shop. It is accessible from both a computer and a smartphone.
- 1 Enter the country of registration and the licence plate number.
- 2 Select a fuel type or check the selected drive based on the vehicle's details in the Vehicle Register.
- 3 Select the type of vignette and the start of the vignette validity.
- 4 Enter your contact details.
- 5 Check the information you have entered in the recap carefully.
- 6 Pay by credit card or bank transfer.
- 7 As soon as we receive the payment, we will send you a confirmation to your email and you are ready to go.
Can company owners and corporate fleets do it as well?
If you own a larger number of vehicles or administer a corporate fleet, there is a simple solution for you as well. Simply copy all the license plate numbers into our system. In the last step, pay for all the electronic vignettes by a single card payment or by bank transfer.
The Electronic Vignette Can Also be Purchased at Sales Points
- 1 If you don't want to buy an electronic vignette in the e-shop, you can choose one of the official sales points, which are branches of the Czech Post and EuroOil petrol stations or RoBiN OIL petrol stations. We do not recommend buying from any other merchant than the official sales points!
- 2 You only need to give the necessary data to the operator (type of electronic vignette, state of registration of the vehicle, licence plate number, start of validity, fuel type).
- 3 You pay and get a confirmation of payment.
- 4 Check that the data entered on the confirmation is correct and ask the operator to correct it if necessary. You can change the incorrect data directly at a sales point within 15 minutes.
- 5 And you're good to go.
Purchase at a self-service kiosk
Buying at a self-service kiosk combines the option to buy in an e-shop and at the point of sale. The self-service kiosks are primarily located in border areas before entering the toll road and allow only cashless payments.
- 1 Choose the language in which you want to make the purchase.
- 2 Enter the country of registration and the licence plate number.
- 3 Select the vehicle's fuel type (unless the system selects it automatically based on the vehicle's details in the Vehicle Register).
- 4 Select the type of electronic vignette.
- 5 Select the start of validity of the electronic vignette.
- 6 Carefully check all the data entered and correct if necessary.
- 7 Pay with your credit card and collect your payment receipt.
- 8 And you're good to go.
